First we’ll embark on a 2-hour drive through some of the most beautiful scenery of this agricultural region. When we arrive at La Fortuna, we’ll see the magnificent Arenal Volcano, emerging from the San Carlos plains. The last time the volcano erupted was in 1968.
Walk the trails of the Arenal Volcano National Park -- a 3-kilometer trail that lasts about two hours. You will also have the opportunity to walk along the 1992 lava flow and learn more about volcanoes in Costa Rica. Next, enjoy lunch at one of the local restaurants in town with a view of the volcano. After a delicious meal we’ll head to the hot springs, where you’ll have ample time to relax your mind and body in the warm, therapeutic water, surrounded by lush nature and a forest setting. We’ll start the trip back to the hotel after this calming, refreshing experience.
