Rio Celeste River flows throughout our property. As our guest, you have the rare privilege to swim in these turquoise waters without ever leaving the premises (Note: swimming is not permitted in the national park). 

Hideaway Rio Celeste is the first property outside Tenorio Volcano National Park that has prime access to the river.  

Our hotel is only a 2-minute drive from the entrance to Tenorio Volcano National Park, making it a perfect option for exploring the Northern Plains of Costa Rica — one of the most biodiverse areas in the world.

On this twilight tour, you'll have the chance to connect with the hidden world of the rainforest and witness nocturnal creatures that become active in the evening hours. 

With your flashlight at the ready and your senses heightened, keep an eye out for a variety of Costa Rica's impressive insects and amphibians, such as the iconic red-eyed green frog, reptiles, spiders and night birds — and tapirs, if you're fortunate.
