Option 1

Fly to Hideaway Rio Celeste

From Liberia International Airport (LIR). This is your fastest and easiest route. From LIR, it's just a pleasant 90-minute drive to our hotel.  

From Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO). From San Jose, you'll enjoy a scenic 4-hour drive through Costa Rica's charming landscapes to reach the Hideaway.  

From La Fortuna Regional Airport (FON). If you're traveling within Costa Rica beforehand, FON offers regularly scheduled flights to our area. 

Option 2

Drive to Hideaway Rio Celeste

This is the best option if you prefer flexibility, cost savings and local experiences. Here's our best advice on driving to our hotel: 

Rent a car from the airport. Rental vehicles from major car rental companies are readily available at both Liberia and Juan Santamaria International airports.

Include GPS Navigation. Rent a GPS unit along with your rental car. In Costa Rica, road signs and numbers are not always visible or well-marked, especially in rural areas.  

Use the Waze App for Navigation. The Waze app is widely used in Costa Rica and is an invaluable tool for navigating our roads. Drive to Hideaway Rio Celeste with Waze.

Choose an all-terrain vehicle. While major roads in Costa Rica are paved, secondary roads tend to be gravel. Rent an all-terrain vehicle so that you're covered for all conditions.
